Fredy is the Chairman and CEO of Unilever Philippines, Inc., a homegrown talent at the multinational company’s helm.
Fredy was previously the Country Director of Unilever Cambodia and Laos before coming home to the Philippines in 2017 to take on the role of Unilever Philippines Vice President for Customer Development. Upon his return from his international assignment, he also joined the Unilever Philippines National Board.
He started his career in Unilever Philippines under its Planning and Logistics group and moved to various Customer Development roles: Customer Marketing, Operations, Modern Trade, Area Management, and Customer Development Director and Executive Committee member of Unilever-RFM Ice Cream, Inc. Following his role in the Ice Cream business, he moved to Unilever’s Homecare, Personal Care, and Foods business as Modern Trade and Local Modern Trade Director. Fredy Ong remains as Head of Unilever Philippines Customer Development concurrent to his role as Chairman and CEO.
